BOYS DISTRICT GOLF

Boardman’s Brian Terlesky grabbed the final individual qualifier spot in the Division I district golf tournament at Pine Hills Golf Club. The Boardman freshman shot a round of 76 to qualify. St. Ignatius (309), St. Edward (314), Hudson (315) and Riverside (321) qualified as teams.

BOYS SOCCER

South Range 6, Columbiana 0

Matt Russ had three goals, Jonah Wilson had two goals and Brandon Youngs had one for South Range. Brooks Thomas had three assists and Mark Vennetti had one. Brant Rothbauer and Luke Schaefer combined on the shutout.

Austintown Fitch 3, Ashtabula Edgewood 0

Kyle Cyphert, Blake Baker and Tex Martin scored for the Falcons (6-6-3). JV: Fitch 2-1.

GIRLS SOCCER

Austintown Fitch 4, GlenOak 2

Kaelyn Puhalla had two goals, while Brittany McFall and Maia Totterdale each had a goal and an assist for Fitch (9-5-2). Jackie Muccio also had an assist while Stephanie Virgallito and Soriya Rezapourioan each had one save in goal. Abby Palombo scored twice for GlenOak (3-9-3) and Alexis Crawford had four saves. JV: Fitch 7-0.

Poland 5, LaBrae 1

Carli Sebest had three goals for Poland (10-6), while Macy Diaz added a goal and an assist in the regular season finale. Maggie Sebest also scored and Libby Rubesa, Marissa Melillo and Montana Gessler each had an assist. Ashley White scored for LaBrae and goalie Kasey Rininger had 12 saves.

South Range 5, Columbiana 1

Casey Lindstrom scored three goals and had an assist for South Range, which clinched a share of the Inter Tri-County League title. Annie Oliver and Morgan Coler each added a goal and an assist and Kendall Syms notched an assist. Skye Kramer scored for the Clippers.

Newton Falls 2, Edgewood 1

Jessica Wheat and Jaymie Cooper scored to lift Newton Falls. Hallie Stamm had an assist, while keeper Kaitlyn Conway stopped five shots for the Tigers (7-7-2). Chloe Krekelberg had the lone goal for Edgewood (1-12-2). Jillian Dick made 13 saves. JV: 0-0

Cardinal Mooney 7, Springfield 1

Cardinal Mooney was led by Julie Vazquez with six goals. Liz Philibin had a goal and two assist, Lexy Herman had two assist and Carol Buchenic added an assist.

Lakeview 13, Girard 0

Rachel Braunegg had five goals and two assists for Lakeview (11-3-2), while Sam Yanci had four goals and two assists. Abby Pavlik added two goals and an assist and Mara Wilson also scored. Bethany Hayes added two assists. Miranda Meffe and Jackie Smith each had one save in goal. JV: Lakeview 1-0.

Kennedy Catholic 2, West Middlesex 0

Alivia O’Brien and Isabelle Moroco scored for Kennedy and Meredith Millin got the shutout. Morgan Atterholt saved 17 for WM.

VOLLEYBALL

Niles 27-25-25, East 25-7-20

Kia Allen had 14 points, three kills and five digs for Niles (5-16). Katie Rearic added 12 points and five kills and Katie Julian had 13 assists and two kills. For East, Jovaughnna Hughes had six kills, seven blocks and three points. JV: Niles 2-0.

Howland 25-24-22-25-15, Girard 19-26-25-23-13

Christian Carr had 20 kills and 15 digs, Cassie Murcko had 13 kills and 20 digs and Caroline Henneman had 19 points to lead Howland (9-12). Brooke Bada led Girard (5-16) with 15 kills, Taylor Bell had 13 kills and 16 assists and Melanie Bakes had 13 points and 16 assists. JV: Howland 25-22, 24-26, 25-13.

Mineral Ride 25-23-20-25-15, Springfield 21-25-25-21-11

Peyton Allen 23 kills, 18 digs and two blocks to lead Mineral Ridge. Breanna Miner added five kills, 48 assists and 17 digs for the Rams (12-1). Elizabeth Thompson had nine points and 26 assists, while Callie Ford and Quinn Crowe each recorded 12 kills for the Tigers (11-8).

Heartland Christian 25-25-25, East Palestine 13-10-7

Kristen Osborn had 10 points, six aces, 20 kills, 13 digs and two blocks for Heartland (15-5), while Bonnie Flynn had 14 points, two aces, four kills and 11 digs, Ginny Burgess had four points, one ace, five kills, 27 assists and five digs and Alanna Holden had nine points with four aces. For East Palestine, Jessica Leake had four points and three kills and Brysten Trosky had three aces. JV: EP 2-1.

Lisbon 25-25-25, Sebring 20-9-18

For Lisbon, Kimmi Wiggers had 14 kills and 10 digs, Taylor Siefke had 13 points, two aces, 12 kills and five digs and Karlee Pezzano had 35 assists and five digs. For Sebring, Megan McIlvain had four kills and a block, Maddi Abbregg had 10 digs, 40 sets, nine assists, nine points and four aces and Sydney Smith had 11 digs, four kills and four points. JV: Lisbon 25-10, 25-14.
