Ghost hunt set at ‘haunted’ building

Staff report

KINSMAN

Local author and paranormal investigator Steve Tackett will join Don Sutton, owner of Market Square book and antique store, to co-host the second annual Ghost Night at Market Square at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $20.

The Market Square building has a reputation for being haunted. Visitors reportedly have seen apparitions in it.

The first Ghost Night produced clear photos of a female entity in the basement of the building, according to a news release.

At Saturday’s event, Sutton will show photos of the apparitions that roam the building as well as recordings of disembodied voices.

Before the ghost hunt, Tackett will give a brief talk about the difference between “ghost rescue” and “ghost hunting.”

Ghost-hunting equipment will be used to track the entities as they move through the building during Saturday’s Ghost Night.

Electronic-voice-phenomena recordings made during past ghost hunts will be available for all to hear.

Those who take part are welcome to bring their own equipment.
