America Makes adds leading national nuclear security labs
YOUNGSTOWN — The four leading National Nuclear Security Administration National Laboratories and the National Security Campus executed America Makes membership agreements, America Makes announced today.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the National Security Campus are all now members of America Makes, the National Manufacturing Innovation Institute that is driven by the Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining.
America Makes, headquartered in downtown Youngstown, said in a press release the added membership shows the department of energy’s “commitment to advancing additive manufacturing and 3-D printing technologies as it relates to the DOE’s national energy strategy.”
