Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, is hosting a sweet sausage cacciatore or chicken cacciatore dinner with a side, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert and beverage from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for ages 10 and younger. Carryouts will be available.

THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7 per dinner. Drive up to the door, and someone will take your dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits are used for local mission projects.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50, and they will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers are provided.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12; carryouts are $6.25. The menu includes meatballs, salad, Italian bread, and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will take orders for packaged cold potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Youngstown, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes meatballs, salad, Italian bread, homemade pies and cakes, coffee, hot tea, lemonade, orange drink or water. Adult meals are $8, and children eat for $3. Takeout is available.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will have a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Adult meals are $9, meals for children 6 to 12 are $4 and preschool children eat for free. The meal includes potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. Takeouts will be available. Call 330-638-5189.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve breakfast from 9 to 11: 30 a.m. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausage and eggs. The breakfast is free with donations accepted. Coffee and juice are included.

Aut Mori Grotto, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will serve a stuffed cabbage dinner from 1 to 4 p.m. It will include mashed potatoes, homemade applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica on Via Mount Carmel will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. All carryouts are $7.50; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own. Mothers of the Crucifix Society will have a bake sale during the dinner.

TUESDAY

Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, will have a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The meal comprises sliced ham, red-skin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie. A $7 donation is requested.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $8 each, beef vegetable soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, pumpkin cookies for $1 for a bag of four and fresh-baked bread for $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 a for a small loaf. Orders can be placed by calling 330-647-7515 and must be received by Thursday. Pickup will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

UPCOMING

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, is planning its annual International Buffet on Oct. 25.There will be seatings at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. The cost will be $15 for adults and $6 for ages 6 to12; children under 6 eat for free. Brookfield Fire Hall, 774 state Route 7 NE, will be the location of an all-you-can-eat soup plus a dessert meal from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 16. Tickets are $6, and the event is sponsored by Brookfield Ladies Auxiliary.

Greenford Ruritan Club will host a pancake breakfast and basket raffle from 7 to 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at South Range Schools cafeteria, 11300 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; kids under 5 eat free. Proceeds will go to the South Range Senior Scholarship Fund. Holy Apostles Parish at St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, will host a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 26. The menu comprises two stuffed cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, salad, vegetable, bread, dessert and coffee, tea or bottled water. Carryouts are available. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be sold at weekend Masses or by calling 330-743-1905. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Knights of Columbus Father Venglaric Council 11915 at St. Charles Church in Boardman will host a spaghetti dinner Oct. 19 from noon to 5 p.m. in the church hall. The event will include a basket raffle. Dinner will cost $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12 years; kids under 6 will eat for free. The dinner will include a salad, bread and butter, drink, and cake. Carryout orders will be available beginning at 10 a.m. The spaghetti sauce and meatballs will be available for separate purchase beginning at 10 a.m. the morning of the dinner. Take containers, or they will be provided. Proceeds will benefit the council’s charitable endeavors.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve a free dinner on Oct. 16. Known as Supper At The Corner, the dinner is from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is a full meal. The event is free with donations being accepted. On Oct. 24 and 25, the Ladies Circle will be having its semiannual vegetable soup sale. The price is $6 per quart; take your containers.
