DAR sets workshop for applicants

The Mahoning Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution announces its first Application Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Austintown Public Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Sharon Myers, DAR state vice chairwoman of Chapter Development and Revitalization, will explain procedure and instruct attendees on how to correctly complete the applications and how to go about providing proof on their lineal descent from an American Revolutionary War patriot.

This event is free for women interested in joining the group or learning if they are eligible.
