Brookfield school board seeks new member


BROOKFIELD

The Brookfield School Board has 30 days to fill the vacancy created by the Oct. 1 resignation of board member Gwen Martino.

Residents interested in being considered for the appointment should contact the superintendent’s Office at 330-448-4930 for an application. The application is also available on the district website: http://www.brookfield.k12.oh.us/default.aspx.

The application also requires the attachment of a one page summary explaining why the candidate wants to serve on the Brookfield Board of Education.

To be considered, an applicant must be a district resident and registered voter. The appointee will serve until Dec. 31, 2015. If the appointee wants to continue serving beyond that term, he or she will have to run for election.

Applications and Letter of Interest should be submitted in writing to David Drawl, Treasurer 614 Bedford Road, Brookfield, OH 44403, by fax to 330-448-5026 or can be attached to an email to David.Drawl@neomin.org. Applications must be received by noon Monday.

After submitting an application, candidates should be available and may be contacted by phone for an interview by the board at 5 p.m. Oct. 15.
