AUCTIONS
Junior League of Youngstown will have a quarter auction fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road in Cornersburg. It allows guests to place bids in 25-cent increments on such gifts as Cleveland Browns memorabilia, restaurant gift cards, holiday decorations and tickets to the Great Lakes Theatre. In addition there will be a 50-50 raffle and gift bag raffle. A fire pit from Ohio Flame will be the half-time raffle item. Attendees are permitted to take their own food and beverages (alcohol permitted). A hot dog bar will be provided by Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts. Dessert also will be provided. Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $15 each by calling the League office at 330-743-3200 or via PayPal at www.jlyoungstown.org. Tables of eight are available for $100. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Youngstown. Donations of gift baskets and gift cards also are being collected for the event. Contact the League office to make a donation.
North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will host an auction beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday by Baer Auctioneer Service. Cash or checks will be accepted. There will be a wide variety of items as well as a bake sale. A food stand will have sandwiches beginning at 4:30 p.m. For information call the church at 330-549-2333.
St. Rose Fall Quarter Auction will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 16 in Rosetta Hall. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the parish house. To volunteer, donate or purchase tickets call the church office at 330-545-4351 or Cathy Milligan at 330-759-7979. Take your own quarters.
BAZAARS
Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will have its 74th annual bazaar from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 17 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18. There will be a cafeteria-style luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also featured will be Granny’s Attic with gently used books, clothing, housewares and furniture; and handmade items such as floral arrangements, gift items decorations and baked goods. Proceeds will be distributed to local charities.
Zion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main St., New Middletown, will have its annual Bazaar and Spaghetti Dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 18. There will be a basket auction, baked goods, jewelry, trash and treasure sale and a brown bag lunch. The spaghetti dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7 and will feature homemade sauce, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 6 to 12. BINGO PARTIES
Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will have Basket Bingo at 1 p.m. Oct. 26. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1. There is a $5 donation for admission, which includes master three on card. There will be baskets to win and a 50-50 raffle. Food will be for sale. BOOK SALES
Friends of the Community Library of the Shenango Valley, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, Pa., will have its Big Fall Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. New this season are recently donated classic collectibles and a young adult section.
CARD PARTIES
Women’s Altar and Rosary Guild of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will sponsor its annual card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the church hall. Featured will be more than 100 door prizes, table prizes and a basket auction. A light lunch will be served to those attending. Tickets can be bought from any guild member or at the door. The donation is $5. Take your own playing cards or board games.
CRAFT SHOWS
Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will host its third craft and vendor bash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22. There will be more than 30 vendors, a basket auction, face painting and food. Unique holiday gift ideas will be provided. Proceeds will benefit the church and its support of the community. Fairhaven School, 420 Lincoln Way, Niles, will be the location of the Annual Fairhaven Fall Craft Show for Disability Awareness, Crafters for a Cause, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Among others, crafters will include Thirty-one, Pink Zebra, jamberry, The Pampered Chef, Chloe and Isabel, Signature, Scentsy, paparazzi and Premier Designs. Amanda Joy Photography will take on-sight photos with an autumn backdrop for $5 each.
Saxon Ladies Branch 22 is having its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8. It will include a basket raffle, a 50-50 drawing and a light lunch menu. The cost is $30 to rent a table. For information call 330-788-4274.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Salem Class of 2016 is collecting gently used shoes through Oct. 31 to send to Third World countries. Shoes can be dropped off at Payless Shoes and Once Upon a Child on Route 224.
