Westminster plans Homecoming

Westminster College will celebrate Homecoming with a variety of activities this weekend.
The annual homecoming parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Market Street. This year’s parade theme is National Days/Holidays.
Among the participants are the Westminster Titan Marching Band, the Wilmington Area High School Marching Band, campus organizations’ floats, homecoming king and queen candidates, local Scout troops and community groups and businesses. Entries will be judged by the Westminster Class of 1964.
Other public events on the schedule include a worship service in Wallace Memorial Chapel led by the Class of 1964; a Faculty Fair, an opportunity for casual conversation with faculty in McGill Library; dedication of the Victory Bell at the Field House portico; presentation of the Homecoming Court before the Westminster Titans vs. Thiel Tomcats football game; an alumni jazz concert in Berlin Student Lounge; and meditation walks at the Sandy Edmiston Memorial Labyrinth at the Field Station.
Westminster’s planetarium will host a screening of “Black Holes” at 8 p.m. Friday, followed by rooftop stargazing, weather permitting.

Rounding out the weekend’s activities are campus tours, class reunion luncheons, dinners and photos; presentations of alumni citations for outstanding service; and opportunities for shopping in the Titan gift shop.
