Struthers Lions meeting correction

Historical society offers bus trip

POLAND

Seats are still available for the Poland Historical Society bus trip to visit the President McKinley, First Ladies and MAPS Air museums in Canton on Nov. 1 as a fundraiser. The cost is $65 per person and includes admission to the three museums and Ida Saxton McKinley House. Admissions are nonrefundable unless they can be sold. Make check payable to Poland Historical Society and mail to Larry Baughman, 1791 Lemont Dr., Poland, OH 44514. Lunch will be at the Gervasi Crush House Winery. Lunch and wine tasting will cost extra. Gad-About Tours bus will leave the Boardman Kmart on Route 224 at 7:50 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Park in the back of Kmart near Salty Grogs.

Center will host annual fall festival

YOUNGSTOWN

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, will host its 4th annual Fall Festival on Saturday. Doors will open at noon and admission is $3.

Vendors will be selling frozen apple and cheese strudels, homemade kolbasi, homemade Amish canned items and autumn decorations.

There also will be a bake sale and food to-go featuring strudel, pumpkin desserts, hand dipped chocolate and caramel apples and chicken paprikash, chicken noodle soup, beans and sauerkraut soup and beef vegetable soup.

Decorative and food to-go items can be preordered by calling 330-788-2154.

The Radost Tamburitzans will provide musical entertainment from 1 to 5 p.m.

Pasta dinner to benefit students

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Connection will sponsor a pasta and meatball dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at Christ Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Road, at the corner of Hopkins Road.

Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 8. For ticket information call Dr. Carol Baird at 330-744-6985.

The proceeds will support Youngstown City Schools members Jordan Smith, Chaney STEM; Gary Johnson, Chaney STEM; Mikayla Moore, Chaney VPA; and Marckese Williams, Chaney VPA.

Library to close

BRISTOLVILLE

Bristol Public Library will be closed to the public on Oct. 13 for staff training. Normal business hours will resume at 8 a.m. Oct. 14.
