Mr., Mrs. Tama celebrate 50th with trip, dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Myron Tama Sr. of Poland marked their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 5 with a trip to Chincoteague Island and a dinner at Caffe Capri on Sept. 13.
Hosting the celebrations were their children, Kelley Rice of Seven Hills, Ohio; Myron Tama Jr. of Medina, Ohio; and Sherri Perdue of Sagamore Hills, Ohio. They also have three grandchildren.
Mrs. Tama retired in 2004 as a registered nurse for St. Elizabeth Health Center and Hospice of the Valley.
Mr. Tama worked for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and for Youngstown Sheet & Tube in Youngstown. He retired in 1997. He is a member of Catholic War Veterans and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1959.
Mr. Tama and the former Dorothy Strines were married Sept. 5, 1964, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Youngstown. They are members of Holy Family Church.
