Authorities say it is still unclear if a 15-year-old girl who’s been missing for more than a week left her north-central Ohio home voluntarily or involuntarily.
The FBI joined the search for Rebecca Kemper on Thursday at the request of local law-enforcement agencies.
Kemper was last seen by her mother at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Her mother called police after discovering the girl’s bedroom window open and her daughter nowhere to be found.
The Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum reports Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent said at a press conference Friday that authorities have questioned a male who had cellphone contact with Kemper before she disappeared.
Officials say the teen is 5 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue pajamas.
