Women’s retreat

The Women Of Worship Ministry of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will host a retreat Oct. 24-26 at The Inn at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
Guest speaker on Oct. 24 will be Pastor Dione Eldridge, co-pastor of Fellowship Tabernacle Christian Center; evangelist Sherri Dawson of Touch Heaven Church of Canfield will speak Oct. 25; and the Rev. Dr. Robin Woodberry of New Bethel Baptist Church will speak Oct. 26.

The Northeast Ohio branch of the C.S. Lewis Institute will host a Pastoral and Ministry Leadership Equipping Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in the institute’s lecture hall in Suite 400 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St. The seminar will include discipleship training and leadership development.
Bruce Beard, regional director, Dan Osborn, city director, and Joshua Reichard, resident scholar, will lead discussion, corporate worship and prayer followed by a seminar led by Christian author Greg Ogden titled “Transforming Discipleship: Making Disciples a Few at a Time.”
