Division II Sectional Tennis
In Friday’s play, Poland’s Elise Eckman defeated Nikki Malkovits (Ursuline) 6-0, 6-0. Eckman has not dropped a game in three matches. Gianna Reider (Cardinal Mooney) beat Lordstown’s Hailey Toporcer 6-3, 6-0. Kara Thompson of Struthers defeated Autumn Kirila (Brookfield) 6-2, 6-1. Eckman, Reider, Thompson and Ursuline’s Allison Christopher advance to next week’s district tournament in Canton. The four play today at Boardman Tennis Center starting at 9 a.m for seeding.
