Julie Ann Bowyer and Matthew Ryan Hockenberry were united in marriage during an Aug. 9 afternoon ceremony at St. Michael Church. The Rev. Terry Hazel officiated, and a reception took place at The Georgetown in Boardman.

The couple live in Boardman after a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride wore an ivory strapless gown, and attendants wore guava-colored dresses.

Anne Marie Sheely, the bride’s sister, served as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Sorbo, the bride’s cousin; Allison Hockenberry, the groom’s sister; Melissa Gregorino; and Melissa Duncan.

The best man was Jose Estremera, and groomsmen were Jeremy Cramer, Matthew Pannunzio, Steven Ortz, Rick Edgell, Steven Lubonovich and Jason Bukovac. Serving as an usher was the bride’s son, Ernie Rotan III, who also walked her down the aisle along with her father.

The bride is a daughter of Rodney Bowyer and Marybeth Bowyer, and Susan Muscatello and Anthony Muscatello, all of Canfield. She is attending Strayer University while working in credit and order review for Verizon Wireless of Boardman.

The groom, son of Gerald and Nancy Hockenberry of Davenport, Fla., works in sales for American Farms Produce in Youngstown.
