Farmers National Bank and Golden String Inc., a local nonprofit organization that provides recreational activities to adults and children with special needs, will sponsor a Fishing Derby from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Farmer Casey’s Ranch, 4738 McCartney Road, in Coitsville. At least 50 Golden String participants signed up to participate.
Farmers employees will be staffing registration tables, making and serving refreshments, helping those fishing to reel in their catches and handing out trophies to the derby winners.

The Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Committee of Mahoning Valley is accepting applications for five-year apprenticeship programs. Upon completion, the current pay rate for journeymen roofers is $23.87 with an additional $15.54 in benefits. Manufacturing jobs
WASHINGTON
The Department of Labor reported that America’s manufacturing sector added 4,000 jobs in September. The sector gained an overall 189,000 jobs since President Barack Obama started his second term, according to the Alliance for American Manufacturing.
AAM tracks the number of jobs after the president made a campaign promise to raise 1 million manufacturing jobs.
State AGs look into JPMorgan breach
NEW YORK
The attorneys general of Illinois and Connecticut will look into a breach of JPMorgan Chase’s computer servers.
The office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says it will investigate the breach and will work with the office of Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen. Jepsen’s office says it has been in touch with JPMorgan since the breach first was disclosed.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. said Thursday that the breach compromised customer information pertaining to roughly 76 million households and 7 million small businesses. It says there is no evidence that the breach included account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers or dates of birth. It also noted that it has not seen any unusual customer fraud stemming from the data breach.
