Name: David Windor; Sam Buzas; Alex Pociaski
Instrument: Percussion/Quads; Percussion/Snare; Guitar
Q. When did you start playing your instrument?
A. Windsor: I started percussion in the fifth grade. I have always enjoyed listening to the drums, and it was about the only instrument I wanted to play in the band. At home I also enjoy playing the electric guitar and bass.
Buzas: I began playing the drums in the fourth grade. For me, it is just fun.
Pociaski: About five years ago, I started playing the electric guitar. I also play the violin, but I enjoy the guitar much more.
Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?
A. Windsor: The friends that I have made being involved with the band. We have had some really great times.
Buzas: I made a lot great friends and enjoyed going to Disney World in my junior year.
Pociaski: I just started with the marching band this year. I enjoyed the band picnic at the end of band camp, and also my first performance with the marching band, and attending Massillon Band Night.
Q. Why is music important to you?
A. Windsor: Music is important because it’s a way to any relieve stress you may be feeling. Some [of my favorite songs] are “Put Your Lights On” and “Saints of Los Angeles.”
Buzas: Music helps to inspire and motivate. I enjoyed playing “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Pociaski: Music is always there for you to wow you. You need music in your life because it helps to relax and relieve any stress you may be experiencing.
Q. If you were speaking to a group of students about joining the band, what would be your number 1 reason for joining the band?
A. Windsor: My number one reason would be you will get a head start on making some new friends, especially the upperclassmen. You have to attend a lot of practices for band, but in the end it is all worth it.
Pociaski: Definitely the friends you make, and for the feeling you get when you just finish the half-time show.
Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?
A. Windsor: I am undecided on where I will be going to school. I plan to major in Diagnostic or Regenerative Medicine.
Buzas: I plan on attending Kent State University and major in Computer Science.
Pociaski: I will be attending Pepperdine University and majoring in Social Sciences.
