5th annual Oktoberfest event in Austintown Sunday

AUSTINTOWN

Awesometown Oktoberfest is back for its fifth year Sunday in the township park, 6512 Kirk Road.

Mark Cole, event organizer, said the event is a way to “utilize our township park and bring the people out and give them something to do right in our town and showcase our park and the people, community, the local vendors and businesses — and let everyone have a great day.”

The event, noon to 5 p.m. , is free to the public. Vendor and exhibitors can set up shop at the park Sunday for a $25 space fee. Cole said businesses should bring their own tables and chairs.

Vendors will sell food throughout the event, including the Austintown Robotics Club selling pizza as a fundraiser for its competitions.

All the proceeds go to a 501(c)(3), Austintown Generational Enrichment Corporation.
