Fashion retailer opens at Liberty Plaza

Villa, a Philadelphia-based urban-lifestyle retailer, will open its 92nd store.

The grand opening of the store, 3620 Belmont Ave., at Liberty Plaza Shopping Center, will take place at 8:30 a.m. Friday. The mayor of Youngstown, Liberty Township administrator and Liberty trustees will attend the opening.

Free food, giveaways and deals will be offered at the opening. The first 40 people in line, 16 and older, will receive free $50 gift cards. There also will be a 20 percent discount off the entire store with some exclusions.

The store will carry products such as Nike, Air Jordan, Adidas, Timberland and New Era sneakers.

During the grand opening, local area DJs will be spinning live with short performances from Liberty High School and Ursuline High School bands. On Saturday, an Ohio national recording artist, “Stalley,” will visit for an official meet-and-greet.

Villa has store locations throughout nine states including Pennsylvania and Michigan.
