Tax-levy renewals

Beaver Township seeks to renew a 1-mill fire protection levy and a 3.6-mill police protection levy.

The township’s levy renewals will bring in $86,000 for the fire department and $537,960 for the police department.

The fire levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 house $92.75 a year and the police levy, $14.18.

Springfield Township seeks to renew a 1-mill fire protection levy and a 1-mill police protection levy.

The township’s levy renewals will bring in $117,883 for both the police and fire departments. The fire levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $100 a year and the police levy, $100.

Because both levies are renewals, Patti Gibson, Springfield Township’s fiscal officer, said residents already are paying this amount.
