Art show opens Saturday at YMCA

boardman

Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Road, will host its second annual “But I Know What I Like” art show from Saturday through Nov. 15.

An opening reception will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. In addition to the show and awards ceremony, there will be artists at work, children’s crafts, a meditation walk, tea in the garden, light refreshments and music by the Classical Strings Quartet. The event is free and open to the community.

Eighty-two area artists submitted more than 180 pieces of art, all of which will be displayed throughout the Y. The show’s concept is unique in that it was judged by lay people, who are often known to say, “I don’t know much about art, but I know what I like.”

Call the Y at 330-480-5656 or email sgray@youngstownymca.org.
