Kasich continues to build his lead over challenger

Gov. John Kasich continues to build his lead over Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald among likely voters, according to a new survey by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

Among nearly 1,000 Ohioans questioned over the past week, 57 percent sided with Kasich, versus 35 percent who picked the Cuyahoga County executive. That compares to 48 percent-36 percent in Quinnipiac’s poll earlier this summer.
