SENIOR CITIZENS

1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Church, Fifth Street, Struthers, for the annual Christmas dinner in the Great Hall. John Texter will preside. Cancellations are to be made today with Sandy Redeske at 330-755-5192. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and cards and bingo will be played. Canfield AARP 3104 will have its last meeting of the year, a Christmas luncheon at 1 p.m. Monday at A La Cart in Canfield. This year’s final bus trip will see Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” production at Cleveland Playhouse Square on Dec. 13. For information regarding openings in the event of last minute cancellations call 330-332-4791. Nonmembers and guests are welcome at meetings and bus trips.

Coitsville Seniors will have their annual Christmas party at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Bedford Trails Golf Course Restaurant, Bedford Road, Coitsville. Jane Orlo will preside. Christmas devotions will be given by Blanche Sylvester. Members will order their meals from the menu. December birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield with Linda Wiland presiding. The program will be delivered by Chocolates by Diane. Dues will be collected for 2015 during the November and December meetings. The group of seniors from all areas meet the first Thursday of each month to enjoy lunch and a program. Cornersburg residency is not required. Retired men, women and couples, 55 years or older, who would like to socialize for a few hours, are invited to reserve lunch by calling Wiland at 330-318-8472. The cost of lunch is $11. Visitors are welcome. The annual dues are $5. Dues for 2014 will be waived for new members joining in December.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet for the annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at Giannios Catering building in Lowellville. A sit-down dinner will be provided by Nolfi Catering. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331 will meet 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road, for an annual Christmas party. Reservations are required. Take cookies for a cookie table.

YSU Freetimers will have their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.
