Youngstown police make arrests in drug raids

Police arrested three people and cited one other in a pair of raids by the vice squad serving search warrants investigating drug activity.

About 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, officers served a warrant at the “Shop With Me” store at 1441 Wick Ave. and found a dose of crack cocaine, a bag of crack cocaine and five bags of marijuana as well as a bag of marijuana inside the purse of a woman who was inside the store, reports say.

Eddie Williams Jr., 36, was arrested and booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of possession of crack cocaine and trafficking in drugs. The woman, Rochelle Mims, 43, of Youngstown, was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana.

At a 755 Brentwood Ave. home about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Martwan Treharn, 22, of Youngstown was arrested on charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Tracee Leflore-Kimbrough, 23, of Youngstown, was arrested on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Inside, police found a scale with heroin residue, 23 pills, a bag of marijuana and $460 in cash, reports say. Both suspects were taken to the jail.
