Youngstown Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 5090 Market St., Boardman, has been a center for dance lessons in the Valley since it began in 1954. It’s been located in downtown Youngstown, various locations on Market Street and at Idora Park. A 60th anniversary gala is planned to celebrate its history and the legacy of the dance master, Fred Astaire. Dustin Jones and Travis Manero are co-owners. Where: Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown.

Theme: “The Glamorous 1950s” is the theme as a tribute to the decade of the studio’s founding.

Details: The event will feature dinner catered by Aulizio’s Banquet Center and Catering in Warren. There also will be a historical tribute, cash bar, dancing and professional performance of ballroom and Latin dance.
