Mastromatteos’ 50th honored at dinner party


AUSTINTOWN

Vincent and Donna Jean Mastromatteo of Austintown were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party at Squaw Creek Country Club.

It was hosted by their daughters and granddaughters.

Their children are Melina (Bob) Orr of Howland and Eva (Mike) Diaz of Erie, Pa. Granddaughters are Natalie, Olivia and Gabriella Orr.

The former Donna Jean Packard was an elementary teacher for Austintown schools. She also was presiding judge for 10 years with the Mahoning County Board of Elections and served as vice president of Austintown Junior Women’s League.

Mr. Mastromatteo retired from WCI Steel in Warren, where he worked for 40 years. He was a barber in McDonald, Austintown and Howland for more than 30 years and served as an Ohio high school soccer referee for 26 years. He is a third degree member of Knights of Columbus Niles Council 1681.

The couple were married Aug. 1, 1964, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. They are members of St. Joseph Parish, where Mrs. Mastromatteo is a lector and eucharistic minister, and he serves as an usher.
