Suspect arrested in Warren murder

A suspect in the murder of 71-year-old Donald Giovannone was arrested by Warren police on Thursday.

Marcus Honsaker, 26, was arrested at his girlfriend’s apartment at Reo Court without incident, said Lt. Martin Gargas. He was taken to Trumbull County jail and will be formally charged with murder on Monday, he said.

Police responded to the 288 Atlantic Street NW home of Giovannone on the morning of Nov. 20 after a friend reported that he could not contact Giovannone. Police found him dead at his home and his 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was missing.
