Small Business Saturday coming

The Better Business Bureau serving Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties asks residents to participate in this year’s “Small Business Saturday” this weekend. Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting local, small businesses as residents begin shopping for the holiday season.

This year marks the fifth annual Small Business Saturday.

Burke Decor offers Black Friday deals

Burke Decor, 1419 Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite 280, will open at 8 a.m. Black Friday with a list of deals.

In addition, Burke will host its first Ornament Sip at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. Guests can sip wine as they create a holiday ornament. RSVP by Wednesday. Call 888-338-8111.

October home sales

YOUNGSTOWN

The Ohio Association of Realtors reports the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement in October increased 12.2 percent from the level posted during the month a year ago.

The rate of purchase contract signings in October dipped a slight 1.5 percent from the pace recorded in September 2014.
