Austintown Elementary Toys for Tots: Austintown Elementary, 245 Idaho Road, has teamed with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to be a collection location for Toys for Tots, collecting new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 19. The collection box is located in the school’s main entrance. The toys will be distributed as Christmas gifts to children in need.

Dispatchers of the Mahoning Valley Ornaments, Cards and Giving Tree: Dispatchers of the Mahoning Valley will be collecting Christmas ornaments as well as cards (homemade preferred) to distribute to residents of local nursing homes. Also, a Giving Gift tree is now in the lobby of the Boardman Government Center, decorated with ornaments displaying the names of local children whose families are in need of Christmas gift assistance. The list was provided by the Beatitude House. The ornaments and cards must be brought to the Government Center, and the Giving Gift tree goods to the Boardman Township Dispatch Center, both at 8299 Market St., no later than Dec. 10.

Liberty Township’s Blott Elementary Holiday Kids Project: A Blott Elementary “Holiday Kids” project gift collection is seeking toys, books, games and gift cards. Tags will be displayed at the following locations, in Liberty unless otherwise noted: Administration building, library, West Fork Road House, Walmart, Great Clips at Liberty Plaza, Hairstyling Concepts (Hubbard Township), Jewish Community Center and Temple El Emeth. The unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, from 4 to 7 p.m. next Thursday and Dec. 5 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6.

American Legion 737 Toys for Tots: American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Blvd., Lake Milton, is accepting donations of gift baskets, cash and toys for a 2014 Toys for Tots event from 1 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the post home. The event will include door prizes, 50-50 raffle, basket auctions, food, drinks, and seven bands providing entertainment during the event. There is a $5 entry fee or a donation of a new, unwrapped children’s toy required.

Kennsington Golf Club and Grille Toys for Tots: The Golf Club and Grille, 4171 Westford Place, Canfield, is collecting gifts for Toys for Toys through Dec. 12. Every new, unwrapped toy donation of a $10 value or higher will receive a certificate for nine holes of golf at the Kennsington Golf Club to use during 2015. Along with their status as a drop-off location, the Club also has a Ohio State/Michigan Tailgate Party to benefit Toys for Tots on Saturday, starting four hours before kick-off. A large heated tent will feature a jumbo screen to display the game; all funds from the basket and 50-50 raffle, and 10 percent of the proceeds from a $19.99 buffet will benefit Toys for Tots. A no-cover performance from The Labra Brothers will be offered.
