'Christmas Carol' at Youngstown Playhouse

YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown Playhouse will present “A Playhouse Christmas Carol” on its main stage beginning Friday and running weekends through Dec. 14.
Directed by David El’Hatton, this version of the classic Dickens story was written especially for the Youngstown Playhouse by Paul Kimpel. It retells the timeless tale in a funny way, making it a holiday experience for the entire family.
Tim McGinley leads the cast as Ebenezer Scrooge. Chuck Simon plays Scrooge’s long-lost partner, Jacob Marley, and Molly Galano, John Cox and Jake Cox portray the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Alan McCreary, Matt Schomer and Kory Fredrick are also featured in the production, which is in collaboration with the Playhouse’s youth theater.
Auggie Heschmeyer serves as assistant director with set design by Jim Lybarger, light design by Ellen Licitra, sound design by John Pecano and costume design by Therese Pitzulo.
