Ribbons awarded in Holiday Season flower show

YOUNGSTOWN

Blue ribbons were awarded in “The Holiday Season” flower show Nov. 1 at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

In the craft classes, blue ribbons went to Esther Bertch and Cindy Salerno of Nature Lovers Garden Club, Mary Schall of Austintown Garden Club and Mary Lou Flere of Gleaners Garden Club.

Design blue ribbons were awarded to Beverly Patrick of Ikebana Garden Club, Pearl Marlos of Gleaners, and Anne Ellis and Bertch of Nature Lovers.

Winners in the horticulture classes were Peggy Potts, Johnny Appleseed Garden Club; Salerno, Ellis, Sheila Bowman, Kaaren Cabraja and Dianna Mullins of Nature Lovers; Schall and Peggy Miller of Austintown; Charlene Flesch and Diane Marquett, Immaculate Heart Garden Club; and Rose Marie Roth and Joyce Dunbar, Gleaners.

Judges were Roth, Ellis and Patrick.

Flower shows take place three times annually and are sponsored by the Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown.
