YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown YMCA’s Central Branch and its Davis Family YMCA in Boardman have joined the “My Y is Every Y” program, which gives regular full facility/full privilege members free access to all YMCAs in Ohio.

“We know today’s families are more mobile than ever. Whether for work or play, we’re committed to providing a YMCA opportunity to people as they travel the state,” said Timothy Hilk, president and chief executive officer of the YMCA of Youngstown.

The Youngstown Central YMCA is at 17 N. Champion St. in downtown Youngstown. The Davis Family YMCA is at 45 McClurg Road in Boardman.

To make sure all members continue to be involved with the Y wherever they may travel or work, YMCAs across Ohio have joined to offer reciprocal memberships through the “My Y is Every Y” program, which allows Ohio YMCA members to access any YMCA in the state at no charge when they present a valid YMCA membership ID card.

“Our members count on their local YMCAs for their health and wellness needs. Now they’ll be able to take advantage of what YMCAs across Ohio have to offer. We’re very excited to be able to bring this added benefit to members,” said Beth Tsvetkoff, executive director of the Ohio Alliance of YMCAs.

“We look forward to welcoming members from other YMCAs as we all stand together to strengthen our communities,” Hilk said.

To access a partner YMCA, members should bring their YMCA ID card and a photo ID card. Some restrictions may apply, depending on the YMCA, so members are encouraged to check with the YMCA they plan to visit ahead of time for specifics, Tsvetkoff said.

YMCAs in New England began the “My Y is Every Y” program in 2010. The program’s successes led to expansion in other states. Visit www.ohioymcas.org/reciprocity to find a list of all the participating Ohio YMCA locations.
