FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


SATURDAY

Army & Navy Union Garrison, 1850 N. State St., Girard, will serve a pancake breakfast made by veterans for veterans for $5 from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfasts are served the last Saturday of every month. The menu choices are sausage and eggs or sausage and gravy and coffee.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host a breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. For a donation, an all-you-can-eat buffet will consist of eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. MONDAY

Hendersonville United Methodist Church, 1013 Jackson Center-Polk Road, Stoneboro, Pa., will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 4 to 8 a.m. that includes sausage gravy, biscuits, meat, potatoes, egg bake and beverages. Guests are welcome to fill their thermoses. Cost is $8. An all-you-can-eat chili lunch and dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will include baked potatoes, bread, cornbread, dessert and beverage for $9; sack lunches will be sold for $4 and will include a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, trail mix, cookie and water.

TAKING ORDERS

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, is taking orders for nut, apricot, poppyseed and prune kolachi. The cost is $9 each. The deadline is Dec. 6; call 330-542-3884, 330-758-5108 or 330-758-7447. Pickup will be between 3 and 5 p.m. Dec. 11.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, is taking orders for kolachi. Choices are nut, nut with raisin, poppyseed and apricot for $12 each. Pickup will be between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13. The deadline to order is Dec. 11. Call Charlene Bury at 330-519-5311.

St. John Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, will sell apricot, cheese, lekvar, nut and poppyseed kolachi for $11 each. The deadline to order is Sunday. UPCOMING

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell cavatelli dinners from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 or until sold out. Meals include two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and two cookies for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball is $5. Homemade pasta fagioli will be $6 per quart, and homemade pasta sauce will be $5 per quart. The event is takeout only. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

St. Joseph the Provider Cultural Society of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish is sponsoring a homemade cookie walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Prices are $8 per pound and $4 per dozen for pizzelles, clothespins and maple twists.

Sts. Peter and Paul Church Senior Chapter of the Ukrainian Orthodox League is sponsoring a stuffed cabbage dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until sold out Dec. 7 at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Dinner comprises stuffed cabbage rolls with sauce, vegetable and haluski, salad and bread, coffee, tea and dessert. Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner on Dec. 4, from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal includes stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, gravy and a brownie. Cost is $8 each.
