Struthers police arrest man on drug charges

Police arrested Jeffrey Armitage, 35, of Youngstown on felony charges of possessing drugs at 8:27 p.m. Saturday at the Taco Bell on Youngstown- Poland Road. Police completed investigations on the case Monday.

Police conducted a traffic stop at the Taco Bell for a vehicle that failed to use a turn signal going from Everett Avenue to Youngstown-Poland Road. Armitage pulled over, and police asked to search his vehicle. Police found a paper with a suspected gram of heroin. Armitage was transported to the Struthers Municipal Jail and his car was towed. He has an arraignment set for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
