Lisbon man killed driving motorized wheelchair on Route 30


MADISON — A Lisbon man was killed while on his motorized wheelchair on U.S. Route 30 about 6:10 p.m. Sunday.

A news release from the Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said said 77-year-old Allen Coe was northbound on U.S. Route 30 near mile post 23 in his wheelchair when a truck driven by 76-year-old Judith Anderson of Lisbon collided with the rear of the motorized wheelchair.

The release said Coe was thrown from the wheelchair. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office.

The accident remains under investigation.
