Temple Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, 108 W. Indianola Ave., Youngstown: Free Thanksgiving dinner from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. today, with a food giveaway for the community to follow starting at 2:30. Recipients must bring identification.
Living Testimony Ministries, 34 Jacobs Road, Youngstown: Free Thanksgiving meal from noon to 3 p.m. Monday.
Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown: The Salvation Army will serve a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at its Youngstown headquarters, 1501 Glenwood Ave. The dinner is free to the public and available to anyone who is in need. In 2013, the organization served 700 Thanksgiving meals, and they hope to serve the same or surpass that number this year. The Salvation Army still needs 50 fresh or frozen turkeys for the event; any donations of turkeys can be dropped off at the Youngstown office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. any time before Monday.
