Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise and quilting charity quilt at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God, video class on law and the constitution, blood pressure check and senior spinning at 9, Piloxing, bingo, painting class and charity quilt at 10, lunch at noon and calligraphy class at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., video class on experiencing America at 9, bingo at 10, quilting at 10:30, chair yoga at 11:30, lunch and Austintown Trustee meeting at noon, video class on TED talks at 12:30 p.m., AARP choir practice at 1 and a trip to Oglebay Holiday Lights at 3; Wednesday, center closed for activities, Disabled American Vets meeting at 6 p.m.; Thursday, center closed for activities; Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m.; 30 minutes with God and video class on skeptic’s American history at 9, bingo, discussion group and senior spinning at 10 and Drums Alive at 11; and Saturday, “Deck the Center” at 10 a.m. For information call at 330-953-1416 or visit www.austintownseniorcenter.webs.com.

A Gathering Place Senior Day Event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 8 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield. There will be an Americana salsa and ballroom dancing demo, holiday workshop, games and a lunch with optional donation. The church is handicap accessible. Gathering Place events are free community outreach social programs offered to all senior citizens held on the second Monday of each month.

Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., will have its annual Thanksgiving potluck luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the gym. Take your favorite side dish to share. Sign-ups are required; call 330-545-6596. The Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The center is offering a free service from the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) on Medicare. At 9 a.m. Dec. 2 by appointment only there will be counseling available to enroll in a plan. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., podiatry services be provided by Dr. Thomas Pokalba from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5. Sessions will be 15 minutes; call the center to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits. Participants must present proof of Medicare insurance; usual co-pays will apply.
