REMODELING

Duncan’s Bath & Kitchen Center of Poland was been named one of America’s Top Remodelers for 2014 by Professional Remodeler Magazine. The national publication’s annual Market Leaders list published in the November 2014 edition. The list identifies the top remodelers in the major markets in the nation. The list is compiled through a combination of research by professional remodeler staff, publicly available data and information provided to the magazine. Founded in 1956, Duncan’s services include remodeling of baths, kitchens and basements as well as barrier-free remodeling, room additions and plumbing.

RECYCLING

Upstate Shredding – Weitsman Recycling announced James M. Land was hired as the chief operations officer/chief security officer and will spearhead operational improvements and security protocol as the company continues to aggressively expand throughout the Northeast.

Upstate Shredding – Weitsman Recycling is the East Coast’s largest privately held scrap-metal processor, operating 15 locations throughout New York and Pennsylvania, including New Castle. The company will process more than 1 million tons of ferrous and 250 million pounds of nonferrous metal in 2014.

COMMUNICATIONS

Cumulus Youngstown Market Manager Rick Parrish recently announced his retirement after more than four decades of ownership and corporate management. He has been the market manager of the Cumulus Youngstown eight-station group since 2010.

COMMERCE

The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors announced that it has named Lori Wilkerson-Hilliard as the new executive director of the chamber. She will replace Executive Director Terri Stramba, who has been in the position for the last three years.
