Bennetts take Fla. vacation for 50th milestone

Ken and Dolly Bennett of Berlin Center celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a vacation with their daughter and her family Oct. 5-11 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Their daughter is Kendra (Kenny) Crookston of Kent. The couple have two grandchildren, Sloane and Bennett Crookston.

Mr. Bennett and the former Dolly Zimmerman were married Nov. 28, 1964, at Mount Moriah Lutheran Church. They are members of Berlin Center United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bennett retired in 2012 from the Mahoning County Educational Service Center in Boardman, where she was a bookkeeper and EMIS coordinator. She also had worked for Western Reserve Schools as an elementary school secretary and EMIS coordinator. She has been fiscal officer of Berlin Township for 26 years. She is a member of Ohio and Mahoning County township associations.

Mr. Bennett is an equipment operator for Diver-Steel City Auto Crusher. He is a Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan, a church trustee and a retired Berlin Township volunteer firefighter. In the past he was a member of Western Reserve Board of Education. He is an Air Force veteran.
