Ashley Michelle Smith and Richard Andrew Schuler, both of Denver, were united in marriage in a 4 p.m. Aug. 16 ceremony at Boardman United Methodist Church. The Rev. Pamela Buzalka officiated.

A reception took place at the Georgetown, and the couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

The bride is the daughter of Wes and Cindy Smith of Troy, Ohio, and the groom is the son of Rich and Cheryl Schuler of Canfield.

The bride’s ivory strapless gown featured silver trim, a modified sweetheart neckline and an A-line silhouette. It was adorned with sparkle and beadwork, including the chapel train.

Ashley Reed and Amber Smith served as honor attendants, wearing mint-colored dresses. Wearing biscotti-colored dresses were the bridesmaids, Lauren Wagner; Kim Nemergut, the groom’s cousin; Lizzy Chirlin; Kristin Zelin; and Samantha Taylor.

Julia Schuler, daughter of the groom’s cousin, was the flower girl.

Dan Schuler, the groom’s brother, served as his best man.

Groomsmen were Joe Carbon, cousin of the groom; Cody White; Jared Oliver; Doug Mansfield; Adam Curry; and Clayton Taylor.

The ring bearer was Robbie Taylor.

The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in molecular genetics. She attends Regis University in pursuit of a doctor of pharmacy degree. She is a pharmacy intern for Target and Walgreens in Denver.

The groom graduated from OSU with a master’s degree in accounting. He is an audit manager of KPMG, LLP, in Denver.
