WEST

Three teenagers were killed in an accident on U.S. Route 30 in this Columbiana County township Saturday morning after a car collided with a school bus due to icy road conditions.

The car was traveling westbound on Route 30 about 9 a.m. when the driver lost control and hit a Brown Local Schools bus traveling eastbound, Ohio State Highway Patrol investigators said.

The three teenagers in the car — Savannah Russell, 16, of Malvern (Carroll County); Storm Angione, 19, of Paris Township (Portage County); and A’liyia Hancock, 18, of Minerva (Carroll, Columbiana and Stark counties) — were pronounced dead at the scene. Russell was driving the car.

The bus driver, Deborah Dustman, suffered minor injuries. None of the students on the bus was injured. Brown is located in the Malvern district.

The Minerva Fire Department responded to the accident, which remains under investigation.
