A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
Nov. 16
Recovered property: An East Broadway Avenue man’s driver’s license was found in the 200 block of Forsythe Avenue.
Theft: A Mosier Road woman reported her purse and $10 stolen from her van.
Trespassing: A Lincoln Avenue woman alleged her daughter-in-law pushed her way past the accuser and entered her residence without permission in an effort to retrieve a dog.
Nov. 17
Menacing: A Dravis Street woman reported a man has tailgated and followed her in his vehicle. On another occasion, he took pictures of her car as she passed his home, a report said.
Nov. 18
Theft: A handicap placard was removed from a vehicle in the 1100 block of North State Street.

Nov. 13
Arrest: Nicoletta M. Robinson of Elmwood Drive, Hubbard, was taken into custody at the township government center while reporting her vehicle stolen. The 28-year-old Robinson was wanted on a Girard Municipal Court warrant charging her with a probation violation.
Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a rear door and broke into Loan Max, 3570 Belmont Ave. The perpetrator also disabled a surveillance camera and tried to enter an automated teller machine.
Domestic violence: A 15-year-old Girard boy was accused striking his mother’s chest and pushing her to the ground when she tried to separate the boy from a sibling during a fight.
Identity fraud: A Granada Avenue woman’s guardian told police of having received a notice from California claiming she owes $977.51 in back income taxes for the 2010 tax year. The woman never filed a return in that state, however, the guardian also reported.
Theft/damage: Theft and criminal-damaging charges were pending against a Girard woman, 19, after a Youngstown woman in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue reported her $700 iPhone stolen. The item was recovered.
Nov. 14
Arrest: A Liberty girl, 15, faced felony theft and receiving-stolen-property charges after her mother alleged that after an argument, the teen took the family’s vehicle without permission. The girl later lost control of the Jeep and drove into a ditch, a report showed.
Nov. 15
Burglary: To a home in the 200 block of Warner Road, though nothing appeared to be missing. A filing cabinet’s lock had been tampered with, however.
Arrest: A traffic stop near Logan Way led to the arrest of 25-year-old Jason S. White of Yvonne Drive, Liberty, on charges of operating a vehicle impaired and driving under suspension.
Nov. 16
Breaking and entering: Someone smashed a front-door window and broke into a BP Unimart gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave., though it appeared nothing was missing.
Domestic violence: A charge was pending against a 38-year-old township man after his daughter alleged he had assaulted the accuser’s mother. Police found the woman in a bedroom unresponsive and showing signs of trauma to her head and face before she was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, they said.
Nov. 17
Arrest: Officers near state Routes 193 and 304 conducted a traffic stop and a welfare check before arresting 32-year-old Thomas R. Trowbridge of North Park Drive, Brookfield. He was wanted on a probation-violation charge.
Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a side door and broke into Jerusalem Food Imports, 3033 Belmont Ave., then disabled a surveillance camera and an alarm system’s key pad. An undisclosed sum of money was missing.
Robbery: Authorities charged Allen J. Collet, 27, of Hubbard Road, Lowellville, with robbery and possession of criminal tools after $234 worth of merchandise was stolen from Walmart, 200 Goldie Road. Collet, who had a knife with which to remove price tags, also struggled with two loss-prevention officials who had tried to detain him, a police report stated.
Domestic violence: A Hubbard boy, 17, was accused of having pushed his mother several times during an argument between them. The victim complained of pain in her back and leg.
Assault: Frednisha J. Jackson, 21, of North Meridian Road, Youngstown, faced a simple-assault charge after police had responded to a dispute on Hadley Avenue between two people regarding personal property. The other person alleged Jackson had punched and scratched her face and head, resulting in several cuts and swelling.
Nov. 18
Arrest: Police responded to a possible shoplifter at Walmart, where they took into custody 38-year-old Judith G. Douglas of Oakwood Avenue, Youngstown, on a township warrant. Douglas had not been charged with theft, however, at the time of the report.
Possible theft: A Louisville, Ohio, man reported his cellphone lost or stolen while driving through the township, likely near Goldie Road.
HUBBARD
Nov. 12
Attempted burglary: The front door was ajar at a home in the 100 block of Wrenfield Drive after someone had tried to enter.
Nov. 13
Arrest: Authorities answered a call regarding a possibly unruly juvenile, then charged a Hubbard boy, 16, with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. The teen grabbed an officer’s arm and tried to push him out of the way after the boy’s mother had tried unsuccessfully to get him out of bed, a report showed.
Arson: Police responded to suspicious activity on School Street before discovering a landscaping plant had been set on fire at a foreclosed building in the 200 block of North Main Street.
Nov. 14
Arrest: Austintown police handed 24-year-old Shakayla R. Hudson to Hubbard authorities. Hudson, of Shields Road, Boardman, was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Nov. 16
Harassment: A West Liberty Street man said a woman has sent him unwanted text messages. The woman told police that he has given her unwanted attention.
Fraud: A worker for Squirrelly’s Skin Art, 3 W. Liberty St., told officers a caller claiming to represent Hubbard Electric Inc. said the business owes $400 and that the power would be disconnected if payment was not made.
Trespassing: An elderly Viola Avenue woman reported a 51-year-old Hubbard man has continually been at her residence trying to sell raffle tickets.
Nov. 17
Domestic violence: Danny P. Geisler, 26, of Raymond Avenue, Hubbard, was charged with the crime after his former girlfriend alleged Geisler had entered her residence without permission and, during an argument, scratched her hand and twisted her arm and wrist.
