On Nov. 9, members of the Holy Family Youth Ministry visited veterans at Greenbriar Healthcare Center, The Commons at Greenbriar and Sunrise at Poland to present them with a note of thanks for their service and an American flag.

“During our time with the veterans we learned much about the branches of the military, the various wars in which they served, the duties they performed, and the sacrifices they made in order to keep our country safe and free,” Holy Family’s Maureen Kelty.

Kelty said the teenage members of the Youth Ministry were eager to meet and interact with the veterans.

“It was important for our Youth Ministry to recognize these brave men and women, not only as a civic duty, but as a living testament to our faith,” she said.
