Holiday card collection for military families

Shepherd of the Valley is partnering with the American Red Cross to collect holiday cards for members of the U.S. armed forces, veterans and their families.

Follow these guidelines for cards: Sign all the cards; use generic salutations such as “Dear Service Member;” cards addressed to specific individuals can’t be delivered through this program; only cards not envelopes are needed; don’t include home address, any personal information or photos in cards; and no glitter or other insertions.

Cards may be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. until Dec. 1 at the Poland site, 301 W. Western Reserve Road.
