Graco recalls 4.7M strollers


U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission today announced that Graco has recalled about 4.7 million strollers in the United States due to a fingertip amputation risk.

Graco has received 11 reports of finger injuries, including fingertip and partial-fingertip amputations. The recall also affects more than 212,000 strollers in Canada and Mexico.

According to the safety commissioner website, these 11 models of Graco and Century-branded strollers are being recalled. They are: Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate.

According to website, the affected models were sold at Target, Toys 'R' Us, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and other online retailers from August 2000 through this month for about $40 to 70 for the stroller and about $140-$170 for the Travel System.
