New Youngstown neighborhood group has its first meeting Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN — A newly formed neighborhood group, the Old Furnace District Neighborhood Association, will have its first meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday at New Covenant Church, 1900 Canfield Road, in Cornersburg.

During the initial meeting, the group will be choosing logos and tackling other organizational tasks. A representative from the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. will attend as well as Mayor John A. McNally and police Chief Robin Lees. Cookies will be served.
