Man pleads not guilty in death of officer

A man suspected of fatally shooting an off-duty police officer at an Ohio pub and injuring four other people has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and assault charges.

An attorney entered the plea for Kenan Ivery, 35, of Akron on Tuesday. He’s charged with one count of aggravated murder and five counts of felonious assault with a weapon.

Police say Ivery was asked to leave the Akron pub after being unruly and returned early Sunday with a gun.
