Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve a home-cooked meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. that will feature meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, roll, beverage and homemade dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and younger. Carryouts will be available.
THURSDAY
Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided
Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, at the corner of Market St., Boardman, will have a beef tips and noodles dinner sale from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $8 for Angus beef tips, homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and a homemade cookie. Orders are for takeout only. Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. There will be no sales on Nov. 28.
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at 330-746-9528. Pickup will be between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen; no containers necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. There will be no pirogi sale the week of Thanksgiving.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.
SATURDAY
Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road SW, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 or until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn coleslaw, applesauce, homemade dessert, bread, and coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available.
Bristolville United Methodist Church, 6271 N. Park Ave., will have a bake sale from noon to 3 p.m.
McGuffey Road Church of Christ, Columbiana Church of Christ and Struthers Church of Christ will host “Jesus Feeds the 5,000” from 1 to 4 p.m. at the McGuffey Church, 1101 Miami Ave., Youngstown. St. Joseph the Provider School, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will host a steak fry from 4 to 7 p.m. in the St. Anthony Church complex. The cost is $15. Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church’s social hall, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meal includes two meatballs, salad, bread and butter, cake coffee and tea. The hall is handicap accessible. Prices are $7 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under. Takeouts are available; and containers are provided at no extra charge. Tickets are available after the 8 a.m. Mass and at the dinner. Holy Apostles Parish is taking orders for kolbasi and Italian sausage for $7 per pound. The types are Croatian, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak kolbasi and Italian medium sausage. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Dinner comprises stuffed cabbage rolls with sauce, vegetable and haluski, salad and bread, coffee, tea and dessert.
