Salvation Army needs turkey donations

YOUNGSTOWN — The Salvation Army will be serving a free community Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Wednesday at its headquarters at 1501 Glenwood Ave. The dinner is free to the public and available to anyone who is in need.

Last year, the SA served 700 meals to men, women and children in our community. They hope to serve the same number or surpass it this year.

The nonprofit organization is in need of 50 fresh or frozen turkeys. Anyone interested in making a donation can drop off the turkeys at 1501 Glenwood between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The donation deadline is Monday.

For questions or additional information, contact the SA at 330-270-5999.
