Ohio, Kentucky schools plan new links

CINCINNATI (AP) — A two-year college in Cincinnati plans to announce new links with Northern Kentucky University.

The presidents of Cincinnati State and NKU will sign an agreement Wednesday in Cincinnati that will include details meant to provide a smooth pathway for Cincinnati State students who earn associate degrees to pursue their bachelor’s degrees at the university across the Ohio River.

Among the benefits of what’s called an articulation agreement will be giving Cincinnati State students in the pathway programs access to the NKU campus services and to NKU academic advisers.

Northern Kentucky University has more than 15,000 students in six colleges, while Cincinnati State has some 10,500 students. Cincinnati State offers more than 130 associate degree and certificate programs in fields including business technology, information technology, and health and public safety.
