Columbiana events will welcome holidays


COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau will kick off the holiday season Friday.

Events will include Town Tree Light Up at 6 p.m., the Annual Christmas Parade at 6:30 and the Joy of Christmas Light Show at 7.

Hot chocolate will be provided on the square by Gamma Eta Sorority and popcorn by Meals on Wheels. There also will be merchant open houses.

On Saturday Crestview High School will host the Rebel Run 5K Race and Fun Walk at 8:30 a.m., First Presbyterian Church will have its annual craft show and flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a free family movie will be shown at 2 p.m. at the Columbiana Public Library, Meals on Wheels will host a stuffed potato luncheon from 11 a.m.. to 2 p.m. at Firestone Park Pavilion No. 4 and there will be Christmas Hayride through the light show from 6 to 9 p.m.
